Yes, it is much better. I'd remove the comma in #4, though. When you use " because" or any subordinating conjunctions in the middle of a sentence, you don't need to put a comma in front of it.

Only #1 is correct. All of the others are run-ons. Ask someone else to read each one aloud to you so that the first sentence is clear. That should tell you where you need to go to make a division or revision.

All have been corrected, but I'd choose more appropriate conjunctions for 1, 4, and 5. I'd also remove the comma in 2.
